Inspections can be carried out During Production, Pre-shipment, and Container Loading.
During Production Inspection (DPI) or otherwise known as DUPRO, is a quality control inspection conducted while production is underway, and is especially good for products that are in continuous production, that have strict requirements for on-time shipments, and as a follow-up when quality issues are found prior to manufacturing during a pre-production inspection.
These quality control inspections are conducted during production when only 10-15% of units are completed. During this inspection, we will identify deviations and give feedback on corrective measures. In addition, we will re-check defects during the pre-shipment inspection to confirm they have been corrected.
Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI)
A Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) is a quality inspection where your products are inspected before shipment. Our quality inspectors will select random samples of finished products when at least 80% of the order is packed to ensure that the products are in full compliance with your specifications. The number of items inspected will vary depending on the agreed Acceptable Quality Limits (AQL) method.
The primary purpose of a PSI inspection is to ensure the manufactured products comply with your specifications and the terms of the purchase order or letter of credit before they are sent to shipment for import/export.
Inspections before shipment are a cost-effective method to spot-check a product lot for any defects or deviations before shipment.
A container loading inspection typically takes place at the shipper’s factory or warehouse. The inspection is carried out to make sure the goods are correctly handled and safely loaded into the shipping containers for safe transportation and delivery to the final destination.
Container loading inspections are beneficial for all importers who want to ensure the safe loading, transportation, and delivery of their goods. It is helpful for first-time importers who want to feel confident in the shipping process or importers who have fragile goods that require more complicated or detailed loading criteria.
A container loading inspection minimizes the possibility of an unpleasant surprise at arrival. It allows you to capture the state of your goods prior to shipping, detect any possible issues, and take action directly. If discrepancies are found, responsible staff are in place to decide on the next step.
